International Bobcats: "I decided to fly to North Korea for my genius project after I met my friend jae eun at the mall. With the help of Ms. Williams and the multiculturalism club, my friends Emily Ha (Senior) and Cameron Yenche (Senior) got to tag along with me. Jae Eun told me about all her memories back home with Kim Jong-il, who I think was her dad or something. I told her I wanted to come back home with her to experience her culture; she resisted, but I just wouldn’t take no for an answer! So I followed her to the airport and eventually landed in a small town called Pyongyang, which the travel agent said is kind of like the Carlsbad of Asia. I’ve been here for 4 years now and I couldn’t enjoy the country more. Even though I can’t go back to America, I still enjoy keeping in touch with my friends back home, which I do by drawing their faces on rocks and talking to them in my cell. The food is great here, not like we used to have back home, but who can complain about getting bread and water every day!" #bobcatjourney17
