Overview

The Great Oversight of 2017 pertained to the removal of Darius Rahmanian from the rightfully elected position of Senior Class President. The ordeal began with Coach Kung, the current adviser of ASB conducting an oversight on Rahmanian's eligibility to run for Senior Class President. Rahmanian was allowed to run without any hindrance post initial oversight and around two months passed until election day. Election Day saw a Rahmanian victory over Lea Marquez. Soon after, Rahmanian was indicted and apprehended for "improper expression" in the form of his entire Instagram page. When asked on which posts were specifically, Administration responded with "the entire page" which did not add up do to the entirety of the page since the page had neutral and positive posts. Coach Kung pleaded that the Oversight did not enable Rahmanian to run in the first place and Coach Kung's own mistake would lead to Rahmanian's "impeachment".

Rahmanian was formally removed after a plea to Cesar Morales was rejected and Rahmanian was sidelined out of ASB andSenior Class President. This event shocked the supporters of Rahmanian and was major event of the Class of 2018.
