This was one of the first notable installments of the SCHS vs CHS Basketball Game's, as it was the first time that Sage Creek had ever beat CHS in this sport.
This was the 3rd game that the school's had ever played against each other.

Home
On January 27th, 2016, Sage Creek faced it's rival and sister school, Carlsbad High School in basketball at home, and won 51-48 due to a buzzer-beating 3 point shot by Christian Janke[2]. This game was a blackout game[3].
Away
On February 12th, 2016, Sage Creek faced CHS at Carlsbad High School, but lost 49-54.[4]
