Little is known about the very first ever Hoopcoming held at Sage Creek.
Most of what is known comes from word of mouth or emails provided by Librarian Cathy Asker.
Other information has been found online or in emails/calendar entries.
This Hoopcoming was notable as it was the first of many to come, and the tradition of Hoopcoming lives on today.
This Hoopcoming was also interesting as the Hoopcoming Game which is traditionally held on a Friday, the day before the Hoopcoming Dance, was held on the Monday of Hoopcoming Week[1].
