About

The simulated crash scene in which students saw their peers in a simulated crash.

Every 15 Minutes is a CHP sponsored program designed to give students the real life experience of being impacted by drunk driving without the risk of an actual crash.

The first year this program was brought to Sage Creek was 2018.

24 Students took part in providing this experience to their peers through a 2 day series of presentations and reenactments.

The students were also shown a graphic video[1] produced by David DeLauder detailing the events leading up to the "crash" scene. After this video, a mock funeral for the victims was held, and emotional poems and obituaries were read.

After

8 gallons of ice cream was provided 2 days after, on Friday March 23rd. This was intended to lighten up the mood after a depressing week for staff and students.

Students, specifically the Senior and Junior(at the time Class of 2018 and Class of 2019) were particularly impacted by the graphic display, as it was their classmates that were shown.
