Overview

The Battle of The Fans was a short lived cross county event that encouraged students from a variety of high schools to see who had the most jubilant fans. However instead of sparking friendly competition the Sage Creek-Carlsbad Game of 2017 saw the spark of something no one wanted. When Carlsbad High School Students attending the game decided to hold up three 'K' signs in a sinister formation during the white out game, a pseudo conflict erupted on the social media platforms of Twitter and Instagram. Known as the Sage Creek-Carlsbad Flame War of 2017 it saw many students get apprehended for vulgar comments and profanities. In the end however, both schools were disqualified and as of 2018 Sage Creek has not participated in any other Battle of The Fans event.
