Little is known about the very first ever Hoopcoming held at Sage Creek.

This Hoopcoming was notable as it was the first of many to come, and the tradition of Hoopcoming lives on today.
This Hoopcoming was also interesting as the Hoopcoming Game which is traditionally held on a Friday, the day before the Hoopcoming Dance, was held on the Monday of Hoopcoming Week[1].
