Story
Mid-February of 2017, Class of 2020 member Paige Zepeda arrived to Amy Kuehl’s first-period class with a Venti Starbucks cup of water containing one male betta fish. The fish lived on the venti Starbucks cup of water for a few days and in that time acquired the name “Old Sport” via Class of 2018 members Duncan Kelley and Glen Nagle. This was a reference to The Great Gatsby which the English class the two were enrolled in was reading at the time. After a few days of life in a Starbucks cup, Old Sport was moved into a fishbowl with gravel and plants supplied by Class of 2018 member Joey Babcock.
