An example of what was chromecasted.

In the middle of the 2017-2018 school year, the projector screens that were previously used by ASB and administration broke or were lost, leading to the sudden purchase of two large-screen televisions for use in place of the screens.

These televisions proved just as if not more difficult to set up and operate than the screens and projector combo, as they operated using a 50 foot HDMI cable and splitter that often didn't play well with the laptops and Chromebooks that were given to ASB for use.

In addition to HDMI input, the TV's also have chromecasts attached to the back, which is the source of this meme.

About

During the early months of 2019, the second year of the operation of these TV's, ASB mistakenly left the chromecasts plugged into the splitter. This wouldn't be an issue with most devices however, chromecasts have the ability to control the input and power setting of the television and automatically switch over input to the chromecast when a new device is connected.

Students took advantage of this and began casting memes and youtube videos to the two TVs in the middle of the Hoopcoming 2019 pep rally.

Later that month, the administration once again left the chromecasts plugged in during an informational assembly, leading to another casting incident.
