A professional [[DJ]] was hired for this game in order to hype up that year's [[Hoopcoming Dance]] and in order to give [[Joey Babcock]] an chance to attend a home game as a regular student. In addition, the [[Sage Creek Pep Band]] played for most of the timeouts, giving the DJ only about 2 timeouts in which to play.
