Chromebooks at Sage Creek are automatically logged out when shut.
Students who get their chromebooks closed can lose their work if its not saved before it's shut, which has lead to this becoming an increasingly common occurrence, usually done by a fellow peer.
It has become a class meme, specifically in the English Department.
There are multiple ways to close/shut off a chromebook:
- Simply slamming it shut is the most popular way
- Holding down the power button until it shuts off
- Sliding an Iphone 7 plus's speaker over the upper right hand area will trigger it to log off.
- Pressing control + shift + Q (Q is pressed twice)
- Large magnets near the fold cause it to shut off as well.
