Avalon Call (Sophomore) discussing her interactions with the swarm that entered Mrs. Myer's fifth period today: "I had just gotten my Chromebook out when I heard a fly buzzing in my ear, but it wasn't a fly, it was a bee! Immediately I screamed, but the sound was tuned out by the thickening dark cloud. It was hard to breathe, and when they landed, it felt as though the bees were a dripping, viscous liquid. The stinging started soon after, it felt nice, but I knew I shouldn't like it. They crawled into me, and I began to understand their love for the queen. Today I am reborn, baptized by the bees and cleansed of my sin. I serve the queen now, pollinating for the hive"
